Michael Acquarelli- Prior to becoming a police officer, Mike obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Mike’s current 17-year career as a police officer has seen him rise to the rank of Sergeant. He has worked assignments such as patrol, narcotics, gangs, police academy instructor, and is a team leader on the SWAT team. He currently supervises the Threat Liaison Officers (TLOs), and trains other officers on active shooter response tactics, as well as providing informative talks to the public. Mike was awarded the Medal of Valor Award, which is California’s highest award for law enforcement, and his department’s Officer of the Year Award. He has attended and instructed in numerous active shooter and terrorism related classes and brings that training to the public.
James Dillard- James is the driving force behind WVP Consulting. He attended California State University of Los Angeles and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. James then began his law enforcement career as a probation officer working a case load of numerous clients under probation supervision. He knew he wanted more and became a police officer with an agency in Southern California. He has been a police officer for over 9 years now (and counting) and has worked as a Field Training Officer (FTO) and a detective assigned to the Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) Unit. James was awarded the state’s prestigious Medal of Merit award. He is also a Threat Liaison Officer (TLO) with his department in which he investigates threat assessment cases and provides active shooter response training to other officers and the public.
Fabian Gutierrez- Prior to his 17 year (and counting) career in Law Enforcement, Fabian obtained his degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State Lutheran. Fabian has since returned to school and obtained his Master’s degree in Homeland Security through Penn State University’s online program, while earning the prestigious career awards of Officer of the Year and the state’s Medal of Merit. Currently a Sergeant supervising the TLO program and an active patrol team, he has been a part of numerous terrorism and active shooter trainings, both as attendee and instructor. Fabian has led a variety of teams and individuals with assignments such as Field Training Officer, narcotics, property crimes, police academy instructor, and was a Scout on the SWAT team. He is bilingual and also teaches active shooter response to officers and the public.
